The Ringer – September 25th

October 1, 2012

Rotary Chicken Barbecue

Steve Hanson announced that we have sold almost 500 tickets, which is half of our goal of 1,000. There are still two weeks left to sell tickets, so don’t give up! Carry your tickets with you so you don’t miss a chance for a sale.

Today’s Program (Tuesday, September 25th)

Ethan Anderson will bring us up to date on the WL Rotary Club website he has been working on. He also will share some pictures of his trip to Mexico where he visited an orphanage with members of his church. We look forward to Ethan’s presentation.

Today’s Meal

Today’s lunch will be soup and sandwiches from Subway. The cost is $5.00. Next Tuesday we plan on having beef and noodles.

Next Week (Tuesday, October 2nd)

Nancy Knight Barr will have our program. Don’t have details yet but sure it will be a good one. Also on Wednesday evening at 6pm, WL Rotary will host District 6000 training sessions. District Governor Terry Geiger will be in attendance. There will be a sandwich bar and refreshments before the training program on membership, Rotary youth exchange, and the Rotary Foundation. The meeting should be finished by 9pm. All Rotarians are encouraged to attend. Good information will be made available for our use.

Our Sympathy

The West Liberty Rotary Club members and families express our deepest sympathies to Cindy Mays and family on the loss of Paul Mays. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this time of sorrow.

Note: The Ringer is handed out at the weekly Rotary meetings. This is The Ringer from the most recent meeting. If you weren’t able to attend, you can read it here! See the Schedule page for more information on upcoming events and meetings.
