This Week’s Program (April 30, 2013 at Noon)
We will have a great Noon Meeting this week. Rotarian Todd Leach will be showing a video celebrating 100 years of the New Strand Theatre in West Liberty. Please plan on attending this entertaining and informative meeting.
The meal will be provided by Local Grounds. We will have sandwiches and a choice of soup or salad. The meal will cost $7.00.
Last Week’s Meeting (April 23, 2013)
We want to thank Rotarian Norm Nicol for presenting an outstanding meeting last week. Norm talked about his purchase of a lawnmower business from Ohio. We wish him great success in his new business venture and thank him for bringing a new business to West Liberty.
Next Week’s Program (May 7, 2013)
Next week’s program will be presented by Rotarian Ken Ruegsegger. The meeting will begin at 6:00 PM and the meal will cost $7.00.
West Liberty Foods/Louis Rich Foods Celebration
Saturday, May 4, 2013 will be a celebration and reunion of West Liberty Foods/Louis Rich Foods employees past and present. As part of the celebration, they will have a Noon Meal open to the public at Ron-De-Voo Park. They will serve sandwiches, chips and a drink for $1.00 and it will be served from 11 AM to 2 PM. We want to congratulate West Liberty Foods/Louis Rich Foods for being a great business and vital member of our community
Rotary Peace Forum in Ames
There will be a Rotary Peace Forum on Saturday May 4 at the Ames City Auditorium. The event will be held from Noon to 5 PM. The event is co-hosted by District 6000 and District 5970. There is a $20 registration fee for the event.
FFA Plants for Sale
The West Liberty High School FFA chapter will be hosting their annual plant sale May 9 thru May 11. The plants will be sold at the West Liberty High School Green House. We will have more information about this event in next week’s Ringer.
