Activities of 2021-2022

  • Sponsored free-will donation meal to support World Day Against Trafficking in Persons.  All proceeds went to support the Iowa Network Against Human Trafficking and Slavery efforts to provide state-wide awareness and education programs; including posters and new survivor stickers (July 30)
  • Ringing bell for Salvation Army (Nov 15th – Dec 22).
  • Bi-Annual Gala partnering with WL Fine Arts Boosters (June 4)

Activities of 2020-2021

  • Partnering with FFA to plant flowers in Ron-de-Voo Park.
  • WLCSD Teacher Workday Morning: All Staff Workshop Trafficking Presentation (Jan 20th)
  • Delivery of Meals on Wheels (Dec)
  • Serving cookies and punch at Carols & Cookies at WLHS. (Dec 8)
  • Ringing bell for Salvation Army (Nov 15th – Dec 22).
  • Served food at ELC Literacy evening (Nov 14)
  • Walk to End Polio Event with club members and interact members (Oct 24)
  • Fall Pulled Pork Event (Oct 13) – sold 746 meals raising money for Domestic Violence Intervention And Prevention, Iowa Network Against Human Trafficking and Slavery efforts, 10 trees to Dutton Sports Complex
  • Children’s Festival (Sept 14)
  • WLCSD Staff Back-to-School lunch (Aug 22)
  • Sponsored blood drive at WL Community Center (Aug 1)

  • Muscatine Country Fair Food Stand – turkey legs and turkey tender sandwiches.  Assisted the WL Interact club to sell ice cream treats, including Kalona bars and over 800 corn dogs (July 17 – 21)
  • Picnic in the Park – served turkey legs, ice cream and water (July 14)

Activities of 2018-2019

  • Picnic in the Park – July 15th, 2018 – serving turkey legs, ice cream and water – raised money for planting trees along the Hoover Nature Trail in West Liberty
  • July 18 – 22 Muscatine County Fair Food stand – sold out of turkey legs and turkey tender sandwiches- also assisted the WL Interact club selling Yotty Bars, other ice cream and over 800 corn dogs
  • July 28 – RAGBRAI food stand – partnered with the Rotary Iowa City Downtown Club to raise funds for Prevent Child Abuse Iowa staying locally in Muscatine and Johnson County.
  • Sponsored Blood drive at First Church United (Aug 6)
  • WLCSD Staff Back-to-School lunch (Aug 22)
  • Provided corn hole game and distributed children’s books at the WL Children’s Festival (Sept 15)
  • Planted 4 trees along the Hoover Nature Trail in West Liberty (Sept 18)
  • Hosted a public forum on Oct 2- Prof. Carolyn Colvin, UI College of Education. Citizenship classes and youth mentorship in West Liberty.
  • Installed playground equipment @ Kimberly Park (Oct 13th and 16th)
  • Delivery of Meals on Wheels (Dec 2018)
  • Sharing cookies and punch during Cocoa and Carols (Dec 9)
  • Assist with distribution and packing of annual Christmas boxes (Dec 12-15)
  • Served dinner at ELC Literacy Event at West Liberty Schools (Dec 10)
  • Donated Feminine care products to West Liberty Community School Districts and West Liberty Public Library (Jan 21)
  • Arranged speaker for WL National Honor Society Ceremony (Mar)
  • Chicken BBQ trial in partnership with Iowa City Downtown club (April) 
  • Public Health Forum: Health Concerns around Muscatine County (April 2)
  • Served food at the ELC Health & Safety Night (May 7)
  • Several Rotarian’s led round table discussions during District 6000 conference (May 3-4th)
