Updates from Iowa Network Against Human Trafficking (INAHT)
Help End Human Trafficking in 2024
How Can You Help to End Modern Slavery/Human Trafficking in 2024
New Year 2024 greetings to our Iowa NAHT blog subscribers. Worldwide there are 50 million people trafficked and enslaved. That is a 10 million increase from the pre-pandemic year of 2019. Globally, one in four of these exploited and abused souls is under the age of 18.
So how can you as an individual help in 2024 to fight against human trafficking and slavery? As a first step, you can educate yourself about modern slavery and help others to become aware of this growing crime. You can insist that businesses check their supply chains for slavery-produced goods.
BOOKS TO READ AND SHARE, WHILE BENEFITTING SURVIVORS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING:
Give this wonderful gift to family and friends. All proceeds from the sale of “Facets of my Soul”, written by Rotarian Fern Saltzman, will benefit survivors of human trafficking. www.leadingwithmyheart.org.
Please explore the website www.RotariansFightingHumanTrafficking.org and
share with your network of colleagues, friends, and family. Once again
be a seed of hope. Just spread the word, if not more. Thank you!
Also note that if your spouse/partner are both members of our club, you are getting 2 copies of the Rotary Magazine, that will change effective January 1, 2021 to where your household will only receive 1 copy now.
