The Ringer – October 2nd

October 3, 2012

Rotary Chicken Barbecue

Have you sold your 20 tickets for the Chicken Barbecue? There are only 10 days to put on the push if you haven’t done it yet. Steve Hanson is reporting over 850 tickets sold as of today, only 150 more to meet our goal of 1,000.

Tonight’s Program (October 2nd)

Nancy Barr has invited Trey Sucher, a West Liberty immigration lawyer who opened his office on Hwy 6 between WL Auto Parts and WL Pharmacy. Trey hopes to be able to help people in the area with their immigration issues. We welcome Trey to West Liberty Rotary Club and look forward to his program. Tonight’s meal will be beef and noodles. The cost is $5 per person.

District 6000 Meeting in WL

Remember the District 6000 Foundation and Membership meeting at the community center tomorrow night (Wednesday, October 3rd). A sandwich bar will be available before the meeting at 6:00pm. The youth exchange program will also be discussed. This is a good way to learn more about Rotary. Plan to attend if you can.

Thanks To All

Thanks to all who worked at the Rotary Food Stand during the Children’s Festival on September 22nd. It was a cool, windy day, but we were able to net about $550 for the club treasury. Great to have all the puppeteers in town.

Board Meeting

There will be a board meeting following our regular club meeting. We have several items to discuss. Please try to attend if you are a board member.
